ANSWER

• NuGenesis 9: No impact. Neither SDMS nor LMS use DCOM technology.
• NuGenesis 8: No impact to LMS because it does not use DCOM technology. Some versions of SDMS 8 Data Adapters use DCOM and may be impacted by this change:
  • Waters Empower data adapter: SDMS 8 DA Release 1 and later do NOT use DCOM for this adapter and therefore are NOT impacted by this patch. Prior DA releases (SDMS 8 DA R0 and all releases of SDMS 7.1) use DCOM for this adapter and MAY be impacted by this patch.
  • Dionex Chromeleon data adapter: SDMS 8 DA Release 3 and later do NOT use DCOM for this adapter and therefore are NOT impacted by this patch.  Prior DA releases (SDMS 8 DA R0, R1, and R2; all releases of SDMS 7.1) use DCOM for this adapter and MAY be impacted by this patch.
