Error: "[NG4294967281] Can't load the error message resource" appears when importing a project in NuGenesis SDMS Administrator - WKB228227

SYMPTOMS

• The following error message appears during the project import process:
  • [NG4294967281] Can't load the error message resource.
• The project is not imported

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• The project export is a Managed Storage project

CAUSE

The project export includes a reference to an offline FTP server. This error message appears because SDMS Administrator is unable to connect to, or log in to, the FTP site using the information in the exported project files.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. The managed storage server name, username, and password are stored in the XML file. The password is encrypted but the server and user names are in plain text.
2. If the FTP server name from the export file is offline, create a hosts file entry that directs the old FTP server to the IP address for the new Managed Storage FTP server.
3. If the password for the FTP user has changed and the old password was not recorded elsewhere, the project cannot be imported.
