With NuGenesis 9, mark bad files in TE Temp and Microsoft FTP service stopped - WKB227159

SYMPTOMS

• Mark bad files stuck in TE_Temp
• Error in mark bad file: 

  NGID=110383
  [SDMSTransportEngineDetail]
  Error1=-1
  ErrorString1=0:1:571:Exception occured

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9, all versions

CAUSE

In services, the Microsoft FTP service is stopped/disabled.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open Services.
2. Start the "Microsoft FTP Service".
3. Right-click on the Microsoft FTP service and go into properties.
4. If startup type is disabled, change to "Automatic".
5. Open Internet Information Services (IIS).
6. Ensure that the FTPs are running.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Microsoft FTP Service was disabled on the SDMS 9. Ensure that the FTP services on all of the managed store/application servers for SDMS 9 are white-listed to allow the FTP service to be automatically started and in a running state in order for the application to function properly.
