Clicking the "View Audit Trail" link on the Welcome page in SDMS WebVision opens the new audit trail with the hostname, not the fully qualified name, in the address bar - WKB223817

SYMPTOMS

• When clicking the View Audit Trail button on the Welcome page in NuGenesis SDMS WebVision, the page opens the new audit trail Web app in a Web browser, but the address bar has the hostname of the web server instead of the server's fully qualified name
• The Web browser displays an error message in the browser window, stating that the certificate name does not match

CAUSE

A software defect

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Defect report CRI-4155 was filed for this issue.
2. Click in the address bar and change the hostname to the fully qualified domain name, and then reload the page.
3. Create a bookmark for the complete URL. Use the bookmark (not the "View Audit Trail" link in WebVision) to access the new audit trail.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the user clicks through the browser's warning message, the rewrite rules in IIS changes the URL to have the fully qualified name, but the initial URL as passed to the Web browser will still have the hostname and thus trigger a warning message.
