How to delete the "welcome-content" files from the WildFly server files for NuGenesis LMS - WKB223471

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Remove the "welcome-content" default files from the WildFly server as embedded in NuGenesis LMS servers. Deleting these files will obscure the server software name and type from port scanners.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 LMS

PROCEDURE

1. Browse to the folder Drive:\WatersLMSServer\WildFly-11.0.0.Final\welcome-content.
2. Delete or move all files in welcome-content to another directory.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

With the files in place, the server will respond with an HTTP 200 (and the contents of index.html in welcome-content) to an HTTP query for the root-directory's content. With the files absent from that folder, the server will respond with HTTP 403 to the same query.
