Error "Unexpected return value -111 from modjAaConfigBo.readConfigFile" when trying to start NuGenesis Archive Agent module - WKB21437

SYMPTOMS

• NuGenesis AA module does not start 
• The error "Unexpected return value -111 from modjAaConfigBo.readConfigFile" appears in the NuGenesis SCC Manager

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis SDMS 8

CAUSE

The Configuration and/or Status file(s) used by the AA to store its configuration and current startup state are corrupted. These files are NG80AACONFIG and NG80AASTATUS in the C:\Windows directory.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. If possible, log in to SCC and stop AA.
2. Copy the current configuration of the AA (Login and Template info).
3. Close out of SCC.
4. Stop the NuGenesis RPC service.
5. Rename the NG80AACONFIG and NG80AASTATUS files to .old.
6. Start the NuGenesis RPC service.
7. Log in to the SCC.
8. Configure AA using the information copied in step 2, and Save.
9. Start AA and verify that the error was resolved.
