How to reinstall the PDF printer for NuGenesis LMS - WKB20255

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

To reinstall the WatersLMS PDF Printer for NuGenesis LMS when the printer is missing or is not functioning (unable to create document reports in the LMS client).

ENVIRONMENT

NuGenesis 9 LMS
NuGenesis 8 LMS
NuGenesis 8 ELN

PROCEDURE

Note: in all cases, the Amyuni preinter installer should display a dialog box with the progress of the installer. If the installation is successful, close the dialog box and go to the Devices and Printers control panel to confirm the presence of the printer.

NuGenesis 8 ELN SR1:

Via command prompt with admin rights:
1. Drive:\inetpub\wwwroot\WATERSELN\bin\Install.exe -l "WatersELN PDF Printer" -n "Waters GmbH" -c "07EFCDAB01000100E042032FFB2EC8BF5533DC503F908C3DAE1178DBF9B84AE79A718837AF32979B332BC2107A0482418031F8B7BA71EE48E3D08F19D5F941"
Via Install.exe and Install.ini:
1. Edit the file Drive:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WATERSELN\bin\Install.ini in Notepad (with admin rights) and enter the following license information:
  - PrinterName="WatersELN PDF Printer"
  - Licensee="Waters GmbH"
  - LicCode="07EFCDAB01000100D52F92575C75FF0EDBB032FB0D29873A035970183F75A8B9B5D4749CCEB1A759CB2C24BF3D5F17DAC3FA7329C401"
2. Run Install.exe; it will use the parameters from Install.ini
Re-entering the license information for an existing, but unlicensed, "WatersELN PDF Printer":
1. To manually enter the license information, copy the following information into the printer properties for "WatersELN PDF Printer":
  - Licensed to: Waters GmbH
  - Activation code: 07EFCDAB01000100E042032FFB2EC8BF5533DC503F908C3DAE1178DBF9B84AE79A718837AF32979B332BC2107A0482418031F8B7BA71EE48E3D08F19D5F941

NuGenesis 8 LMS FR1 or SR2:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The license code above activates the PDF printer for use only by the ELN or LMS server. It is not licensed for use by any other program. Attempting to print to this printer from any other program will result in a "printer not activated" error message.
