How to change the FTP storage path for a NuGenesis Managed Storage location - WKB19658

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Move the SDMS Managed Storage files from one UNC path to another, in order to gain more free space for SDMS.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• NuGenesis 9 SDMS

PROCEDURE

1. Stop the Microsoft FTP Service on the FTP server.
2. Use a robust file copy tool, such as RoboCopy, to replicate the current folder structure of the FTP storage path in the new storage path.
3. In IIS Manager, select the Managed Storage FTP site, and click the "Basic settings" link.
4. Set the Physical Path to the UNC path for the new storage location.
   • Example: \\newServer\SDMSdata
5. Click OK.
6. Restart the Microsoft FTP Service.
