How to uninstall NuGenesis 9 SDMS UNIFY printer - WKB117481

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Manually uninstall NuGenesis UNIFY software from a machine where the uninstallation process fails to remove all UNIFY components or fails to run at all.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• Windows 10
• UNIFY is the only NuGenesis software installed on the machine

PROCEDURE

1. Stop the NuGenesis RPC service.
2. Start the task manager and kill all NGProx.exe processes.
3. Open the Settings app > Devices > Printers & scanners. Delete the NuGenesis UNIFY printer queue(s).
4. Delete the NuGenesis installation folder.
   1. Default for 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waters\NGSDMS
   2. Default for 32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files\Waters\NGSDMS
5. Delete the NuGenesis registry keys:
   1. 64-bit: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NuGenesis Technologies Corp.
   2. 32-bit: HKLM\Software\NuGenesis Technologies Corp.
6. Delete the registry key(s) under HKLM \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \Uninstall whose DisplayName value matches NuGenesis UNIFY.
