What is the purpose of the Integration Window Extent setting in the TargetLynx method? - WKB88347

Article number: 88347

ENVIRONMENT

  • QuanLynx
  • TargetLynx
  • TargetLynx XS
  • MassLynx

ANSWER

In QuanLynx and TargetLynx, the region of the chromatogram that is integrated for a given component in the method is defined by the Retention Time Window and centered on the Predicted Retention Time. Example: RT = 2.0 min  RT window = +/- 0.1 min. The integration window would be 1.9 to 2.1 minutes.

The Integration Window Extent allows you to extend the time region that is integrated without making the RT window larger. This value is a multiplier.

For the example above, if the Integration Window Extent is set to 2, the integration window would be 1.8 to 2.2 minutes, but the apex of the chromatographic peak still needs to fall within the RT window.
