Skyline method export error with MassLynx 4.2 SCN 985 - WKB88500

SYMPTOMS

• Unable to export MassLynx methods from Skyline
• When selecting File > Export > Export method, the following error message appears:
  • ERROR: Method not found: 'BooleanCompoundDatabaseClassLibrary.CompoundDatabase.InsertNewIonDetails(Int32, Int32, TransMode, Int32, Int32, Int32, Int32, Int32, Int32.
• Problem occurs whether a fresh MS method template (.exp file) is created in MassLynx 4.2 SCN 985 or if one of the templates in C:/MassLynx/Default.pro/Acqdb is used
• Problem occurs when attempting to export a single method or multiple methods

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.2 SCN 985

CAUSE

The version of the dll file that Skyline requires for successful method export is not up to date in MassLynx 4.2 SCN 985.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Raise an iRequest
2. Request that your local service organisation install the necessary replacement dll as described in Internal Notes section of this article and WKB92770.
