Smoothing Method: Both methods slide a window along the chromatogram, averaging the data points in the window to produce a point in the smoothed spectrum.  Select either the Mean method or the Savitzky-Golay method. (The Mean method is commonly used and simply averages the intensity of data points and is generally used for chromatographic data.) On the other hand, the Savitzky-Golay method uses the least-square method to fit the data to a polynomial and averages it, thus the noise is removed but the leading of the peak may be dented and is generally used for spectrum data.

Smoothing Iterations: Set the number of times to perform smoothing processing. (Note that if the setting value (numerical value) of the smoothing parameter is too large, the chromatogram will be distorted.). The maximum value is 100.

Smoothing Width: Set the smoothing range (number of data points before and after). (Note that if the setting value (numerical value) of the smoothing parameter is too large, the chromatogram will be distorted.). Specifies the half-width of the smoothing window, in scans. This parameter can be set automatically by clicking the right-hand mouse button and dragging across a chromatogram peak. The maximum value is 99.
