How to report the UV peak corresponding to a Selected Mass peak in OALogin analysis - WKB81301

Article number: 81301

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

How to report the UV extracted wavelength chromatogram / spectrum corresponding to a selected Mass peak in an OALogin analysis in the OpenLynx / Diversity Browser

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx
  • OALogin
  • OpenLynx
  • UV, PDA or DAD detector
  • Diversity Browser

PROCEDURE

  1. In the OpenLynx method (*.olp) display the DAD Data tab:
  2. Select View > Options and check the DAD Data box
  3. In the DAD Data tab under the Wavelengths section check the following:
  4. Report Chromatogram
    Full Range (optional)
Choose how many peaks to report (Maxiumum peaks) or select Use all detected peaks
    Report MS Spectra and
    Report DAD spectra
  5. This shows the chromatogram and UV spectrum that comes from the MS target peak.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Ensure that all peaks within the trace are aligned using the Offset time (ie retention times are the same for all peaks in all traces).

Peak ID can be used to assign the same peak number to both MS and other traces eg PDA , TUV , Analog.

Adjust the Min Peak Separation value to distinguish peaks ie if peak retention time is less than 0.05 mins, treat as same peak eg for peak shouldering.
