OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Trigger a Waters MS to start an acquisition via contact closure in MassLynx.

PROCEDURE
- Open the MassLynx inlet method.
- Go to Tools > Instrument Configuration.
- Click the Events and Triggering button.
- Click NEXT on the first page of the wizard.
- On the Choose Events page of the wizard, select Event In 1.
- At the end of the wizard, click Finish. Click Finish to close the instrument configuration.
- Connect a contact closure cable from Inject Start out of the autosampler to Event In 1 on the back of the MS.
- On the sample list, in the Inlet Method column, type the word Default.
