Cannot browse inlet method into sample list - WKB777

SYMPTOMS

• Inlet method is not present in list of choices when adding inlet method into sample list or Browse/Edit options not available when right-clicking in Inlet File box of Sample List
• Clicking in Inlet File cell in sample list gives MassLynx error message: "No inlet methods for current configuration."

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• Inlet method

CAUSE

New instrument module added to inlet configuration, but not added to inlet method.

Example: Added column manager or FLR detector or changed sample manager from ACQUITY Sample Manager FL to ACQUITY Sample Manager FTN, but did not save inlet method after the change.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Create a new method with the new instrument configuration and save the inlet method or modify an existing method with the new instrument configured and save.
2. Browse to new method in sample list.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Must be an instrument method present for each instrument in the inlet configuration prior to populating into the sample list.
