- MassLynx 4.1 or 4.2 with either basic or full security
ANSWER
1. Install MassLynx security on a second PC somewhere on the network. There is no need to install an instrument, and there is no need to install any application managers.
2. Ensure that Windows has been configured as required by MassLynx security, on the new PC, the network, and the instrument PC. Use the relevant Windows setup doc. The configuration should already be suitably configured if you are using Waters-supplied PCs.
3. Log in to the MassLynx Security Manager as a MassLynx administrator.
4. Under Policies, choose "Audit".
5. In Audit Policy > Remote logging, specify the name of the new PC under Store On, and then select the "Enabled" check box.
