The MassLynx shutdown method for the LC-MS did not complete the intended tasks - WKB6013

SYMPTOMS

• Shutdown randomly did not work
• Shutdown method did not complete intended tasks
• Shutdown tasks were not listed in the shutdown method
• May occur after rebooting MassLynx PC
• Shutdown may work from the Shutdown console play button but not at the end of the batch or on error

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

The wrong shutdown file is selected in the Shutdown console

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Confirm the shutdown method is correct then select it in the shutdown console or in the Batch Control tasks:
2. To confirm the correct method is selected:
   1. Select Edit Shutdown or Startup.
   2. Confirm the correct file is open, or select File > Open, then browse to the correct file.
   3. Click Auto Control Tasks to confirm the tasks are listed.
   4. Click Shutdown.
   5. Click Enable shutdown after batch.
   6. Select File > Save.

4. On the Shutdown tab confirm the methods selected in "Enable shutdown after batch" or in "Configure error shutdown" contain the correct shutdown method files in the Shutdown project
