MassLynx crashes when you select Autosampler Bed Layout in the sample list. - WKB5746

SYMPTOMS

• When you select Autosampler Bed Layout, MassLynx stops responding, and the error 'MassLynx module has stopped working' may be displayed.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1 SCN 930.
• May occur on any SCN and any system.
• Windows 7

CAUSE

Probably a software bug

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Workaround:
   Open MassLynx.
   Close MassLynx
   Reopen MassLynx
   The autosampler bed layout error is then not seen.
    
2. Possible fix:
   On a different PC, configure the same inlet system (e.g. BSM with I class) and then copy the newly-created .baq file ('2 Plate Bed.baq') to the affected PC. Setup the bedlayout as required, and then select the new bedlayout as the Current Layout Selected.
