SYMPTOMS

• Pump flow stops almost immediately after inlet method is downloaded
• Changing method from Analytical mode to Prep mode
• Correcting method error—column position originally set to analytical is set to prep column—does not resolve issue
• Found: Loop selection set to analytical (left) in the Autosampler section of of the inlet method

• 2767 Sample Manager
• System Fluidics Organizer
• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

Loop selection is set to the wrong position in the Autosampler parameters for the inlet method for prep runs.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Select the "Right" valve in the Loop selection section of the Autosampler parameters for the inlet method for prep runs.
2. Save the updated inlet method.
3. Download the inlet method to the system.
