No analog data recorded in MassLynx during acquisition - WKB52948

SYMPTOMS

• No analog data stored; no data points created
• MS data is recorded
• Detector records non-storage data in ACQUITY Console

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• ACQUITY UPLC ELS Detector

CAUSE

MassLynx doesn't receive the analog data from the detector to store in a data file. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Go to Tools > Instrument Configurations.
2. Configure the system as it is, with an optical detector.
3. In the last window, search for instruments.
4. Select the correct serial number for the ELSD (or other optical detector) in the drop-down list for the corresponding detector type.
