TargetLynx TrendPlot displays incorrect results in MassLynx 4.1 - WKB5094
Article number: 5094
SYMPTOMS
- TrendPlot may display the same results for compounds that have similar names. This problem occurs when the entire text string of a compound name is part of a compound name that is present higher up in the TargetLynx compound list. For example, if Testosterone d3 is listed before Testosterone, TrendPlot displays the results for Testosterone d3 twice, under both Testosterone d3 and Testosterone. Similarly, if Methamphetamine is listed before Amphetamine, TrendPlot displays the results for Methamphetamine twice, under both Methamphetamine and Amphetamine.
ENVIRONMENT
- TargetLynx TrendPlot in MassLynx 4.1 (for example, SCN 843, SCN 855, SCN 945)
CAUSE
Software bug
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Workarounds:
A. In the TargetLynx method, change the compound order. (For example, move Amphetamine so it comes before Methamphetamine.)
or
B. In the TargetLynx method, ensure that the text string of a compound is not used elsewhere in the compound list. (For example, re-name Amphetamine to Amphetamine1.)
Both of these workarounds can be applied to the QLD file. You need not reprocess the raw data.
