How do you lock MassLynx controls during an OALogin acquisition? - WKB50502

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Prevent users from modifying MassLynx while running samples using OALogin on the Acquisition PC.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• OALogin
• OpenLynx

PROCEDURE

Enable Swap Mode as follows:

1. In OALogin, browse to Security > Swap Mode.
2. Type the correct credentials into the OALogin Security dialog window.
   Note: The default Name is Admin and the password is blank.
3. Once you press OK, the only window you can access on that PC is the OALogin Window Login Samples, Login QC sample, and Change Password (depending on text used and options selected).
4. To disable Swap Mode, repeat the this process and press OK.
   
   Note: Swap Mode only locks the PC where OALogin is installed.
   If the Acquisition is on a different PC than OALogin window, you can protect the MassLynx PC with a Windows screen lock and the OALogin PC with Swap Mode.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: You must install OALogin with an account with administrator privileges that uses this same account. The security lock facility is to prevent unauthorized changes to the PC in Administrator mode.
