Sample list is invalvid error message when creating a new or switching between projects in MassLynx - WKB4752

SYMPTOMS

• "The Sample List C:\MassLynx\example.pro\sampledb\example.spl is invalid" error comes when creating a new or changing to a different project
• Note: the file path in the error message is specific to the project path and filename

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

The Sample List file specified in the error message does not exist in the newly created or newly opened project

FIX or WORKAROUND

Click OK in the error box and proceed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is not an error message. It is an information message. The message means that the sample list open in the current project or last opened in a project template does not exist in the SampleDB folder for the project being opened or created.

In the Project Wizard, if Copy Sample Lists is checked or if a Sample List file of the same name does exist in the SampleDB folder of the project being opened or created, the message does not appear.
