SYMPTOMS

  • Computer does not boot up
  • Black screen with white text gives reboot options
  • None of the reboot options works

ENVIRONMENT

  • Windows 7
  • Lenovo C30-1097
  • MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

Failed hard drive

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Replace the hard drive with one of the same type and size.
  2. Use EasyRestore for MassLynx PC, Lenovo C30-1097 (667004912).
  3. Reload the appropriate versions of MassLynx and ACQUITY system drivers.
