In MassLynx, the MaxEnt 1 processing stalls - WKB44537

SYMPTOMS

• Processing data doesn't give the usual MaxEnt warning message ("MaxEnt may experience difficulties processing threshold spectra.  Continue?"); instead, the Electrospray Maximum Entropy dialog box shows the Start button available
  • Clicking the Start button does nothing
• Other data sets work fine
• Adjusting the MaxEnt 1 processing parameters makes no difference
• The file name of the .raw data file contains more than 50 characters

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• MaxEnt 1

CAUSE

File name is too long.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Rename the file with fewer characters.
