SYMPTOMS

• Unable to open Inlet Method Editor in MassLynx
• Additional applications impacted, such as OpenLynx broswer, OALogin, or other application managers
• Random communication issues

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

SOPHOS antivirus software was recently updated and is impacting MassLynx functionality due to the update and/or enablement of the “Exploit Mitigation” setting.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Disable the "Exploit Mitigation" policy in SOPHOS.
