Error using OpenLynx to process data via sample list; processing halts and OpenLynx Method Editor opens - WKB26491

SYMPTOMS

• Processing data file in sample list using OpenLynx
• Processing halts with "Sample 1 Processing" in the status bar above the sample list
• "Not responding" appears at the top of the MassLynx window
• Error messages may appear:
  • "C:\Masslynx\<OpenLynx method name> was not found" 
  • "This file is an old version. The integration parameters must be re-entered"
• The OpenLynx Editor's Setup window opens 
• The .rpt file is not generated

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• OpenLynx

CAUSE

Corrupted sample list, possibly caused by an invisible entry in a hidden/not displayed column cell

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Create a new sample list based on the default sample list in the Default project.
2. Remove the faulty sample list from the active project (may require extra permissions).
