IntelliStart Sample Tune and Develop does not start; it says "initializing fluidics" but then nothing happens on Xevo TQ-S micro - WKB25998

SYMPTOMS

  • Combined flow is selected in IntelliStart Sample Tune and Development
  • There is LC and fluidics flow
  • The bottle selection on the tune page and IntelliStart are the same, and the flow state for both is set to combined
  • In IntelliStart there is a warning triangle on flow state in IntelliStart setup parameters: "Please ensure that the inlet is configured" (this is normal)

CAUSE

Communication issue with the console

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Exit the tune page, inlet editor, the console, and MassLynx.
  2. Run the StopProcess.exe or StopAcquityProcesses.cmd or StopMassLynxProcess.cmd from C:\Waters Instruments (x86)\Waters Instruments\Bin\   
    • Wait at least 30 seconds in between running these commands if more than one is being executed.
  3. Open MassLynx.
  4. Open the Tune page, the inlet editor, and then the console.
  5. Start the fluidics from the tune page.
  6. Open IntelliStart and start Sample Tune and Development.
