Maxent 1 gives different results processing the same data - WKB241821

SYMPTOMS

• Reprocessed old data with Maxent 1; obtained slightly different results from the last time the data was processed using Maxent 1

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

Differences in the input data or the selected processing parameters

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Ensure that all processing parameters are exactly the same.
2. Prior to Maxent 1 processing, make sure that you combine exactly the same scan range as you did the first time.
3. Allow Maxent to run for the same number of iterations as you did the first time (check the "It" number in the header of Maxent 1 results).
4. Use exactly the same input and output m/z ranges each time the data is processed.
