Shutdown method does not run after batch in MassLynx - WKB233066

SYMPTOMS

• MassLynx batch ends
• Shutdown after batch is enabled
• Shutdown does not run after batch
• Auto Control Task List includes: LC Pump Off, UV Lamp Off, Tune file (file specified), Source gas Off, Standby, Reset

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.2

CAUSE

The Tune file specified does not exist.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. From the Instrument Shortcut menu, select Edit Shutdown or Startup.
2. If the Shutdown method is not open, go to File > Open and select the ShutdownESI_ACE.acl file.
3. Go to the Auto Control Task tab.
4. Verify that the Tune file specified for this task exists and is the appropriate file for the Shutdown.
5. If the file does not exist, change the selected file to one that does exist and is appropriate.
6. If no Tune file is required for the Shutdown, delete this task from the list.
7. Save the ShutdownESI_ACE.acl method.
