SYMPTOMS
- ACQUITY LC-MS system stops when sample plate moves between ACQUITY Sample Organizer and ACQUITY Sample Manager
- Error seen in Console:
"Local area connection conflicts with the instrument LAN assigned to 192.168.0.1\n\t\t\t\t
Please run the DHCP configuration address to choose an alternative address"

CAUSE
Conflict with the IP address - maybe with internal company network
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Change the instrument LAN to the alternative IP address 172.16.0.1, 255.255.0.0.

Change the IP address on the Instrument LAN network card.

Open the DHCP wizard from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Waters Instruments\Waters DHCP Server Configuration.exe. (MASSLYNX)
X:\Empower\Instruments. (EMPOWER) -
In the DHCP Server Configuration window, choose Server > Configuration Wizard and select the alternative IP address 172.16.0.1.

Follow the instructions and reboot the PC when directed.

Reboot the ACQUITY modules and the mass spectrometer.
