No results show up in TargetLynx when processing PDA data - WKB231570

Article number: 231570

SYMPTOMS

  • No results show up in TargetLynx when processing PDA data
  • No chromatograms, calibration curve, or integration results
  • See only the information about the sample (sample name, sample ID, sample text, sample type, and so on) in TargetLynx
  • Acquisition Function Number is correctly set for the PDA function in the .raw data file
  • Use Absolute Mass Window set to YES in the TargetLynx method
  • Chromatogram Mass Window (Da) set to 0.02 in the TargetLynx method

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx
  • TargetLynx

CAUSE

The Chromatogram Mass Window (Da) is too narrow for PDA data.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Change the Chromatogram Mass Window (Da) to 1.0.
  2. Save the method.
  3. Reprocess the sample list.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The two settings, Use Absolute Mass Window and Chromatogram Mass Window (Da), are for Full Scan MS, Tof-MS, Full Scan UV, or PDA data. It tells TargetLynx how wide a trace about the set m/z or wavelength to extract from the full scan data. The default of 0.02 is fine for MS data but is far too narrow for UV data. Full scan UV or PDA data should use a value of 1.0.
