"Cannot import files of this type" error when importing CSV worklist into MassLynx - WKB20543

SYMPTOMS

• The MassLynx user is attempting to import a worklist with a CSV file type into MassLynx.
• They choose File > Import Worksheet and select the required file in the browser.
• The file is not imported and the following error message appears: "Cannot import files of this type."

ENVIRONMENT

MassLynx 4.1 and 4.2, all releases with LIMS interface.  

CAUSE

In the file browser, the "Files of type" was set to "All Files (*.*)".

MassLynx was upgraded, so the"'Files of type" was set back to the default.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Change the "Files of type" to "Comma Delimited (*.CSV;*TXT)".

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

LIMS interface converts the received HL7 worklist messages into CSV worklist files that are compatible with MassLynx.
