SYMPTOMS

• Error message when saving a MassLynx MS method editor or opening existing method:
  "Autodwell time is different from the last saved dwell time. Press yes to load the calculated dwell time or press no to retain the saved dwell time"
  
• Happens with newly written and saved method on reopening
• Pressing yes changes the values, but the system does not save the changes
• Error can happen when changing a value in the method that should not affect the cycle time (e.g., changing a Function time window but not so much that it overlaps other functions)
• MassLynx 4.2 SCN 1007

CAUSE

Software bug

FIX or WORKAROUND

Fixed in SCN 1035 and subsequent software

Workaround: Change the function times slightly until the error does not occur.
