OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Create a plate file (*.plt) for a 96-well plate with a well volume that is not one of the defaults.
ENVIRONMENT
- MassLynx
PROCEDURE
- In the MassLynx Inlet Method, go to the "autosample" menu (ACQUITY Sampler, 2767, etc.) and select Plate Generator.
- Locate a 96-well plate using the next rack button on the tool bar.
- Enter a new name in the Rack Name field specific to the number of wells and well volume.
- Go to Rack > Save Current rack to save this file with the new file name.
- From documentation that comes with the rack, enter the height of the rack into the Z field under Plate Size and the Depth of the well. Values are entered in 1/10 mm. These are the only two values that differ between 96-well plates of different volumes. All other dimensions are the same.
- Save the settings.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
