An incomplete report copied into results folder causes no emails in OALogin or AutoLynx - WKB191283

SYMPTOMS

• Running samples with OpenLynx processing - OLB files are submitted via OALogin or AutoLynx, the samples are analyzed, but after processing the results the full report file does not move to the Processed folder
• Because the report transfer is not complete, the results emails are not sent

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• OpenLynx
• AutoLynx
• OALogin

CAUSE

The sample integration is not optimized, and there are hundreds of results reported for the samples. Many peaks are just background noise.

The long time taken to process all these peaks causes the reporting process to fail and the system to stop or fail during the file transfer.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Optimize the integration used for sample processing. Ensure that the integration parameters are appropriate and that only essential peaks are reported.
2. Integration can be optimized in Chromatogram view for single samples and then the integration parameters copied into the OpenLynx Method file using the copy/paste facility.
