ANSWER

Rename the sample ID in the sample list and in the header.txt file. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Renaming sample ID in header.txt pathway:

1. C:/masslynx/xxx.pro/data/xxx.raw/header.txt

2. Find the sample id field in header.txt, rename it, and save the changes.

3. This must be done for each data file in the sample list.

NOTE: This procedure should NOT be done on a system with MassLynx Full Security because the files will be tagged as being Tampered and will then not open.

Also, it is not good practice to edit raw data files after they are acquired.
