How to set up an HPIB card in MassLynx to control an Agilent 1100 - WKB15095

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Via an HPIB card, obtain MassLynx IEEE control of an Agilent 1100 on Windows 7 or XP.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• Agilent 1100
• HPIB 82350B card
• Windows 7
• Windows XP

PROCEDURE

1. Depending on the operating system, different Agilent drivers are required for the HPIB 82350B card.

   • On Windows XP (M57/M58): Suite 15 drivers

   • On Windows 7 (M58/C20x): Suite 16 drivers

The Suite 15 and Suite 16 drivers are found on a Waters PC as part of the Waters image under C:\Drivers.

2. Follow the Procedure_to_set_up_an_HPIB_82350B_card_r2.pdf to install and set up the drivers and instrument control in MassLynx.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The drivers are not on the P-series Waters computers. Call Waters Technical Service (1 888 292 4752) if installing on a P-series.
