MassLynx OALogin and AutoPurify system uses default volume instead of specified volume if using multiple injections - WKB13154

Article number: 13154

SYMPTOMS

  • ACQUITY QDa with MassLynx SCN 947 in OALogin or Open Access / OpenLynx mode for Prep Systems
  • Logging in a single injection, the system runs the injection volume specified in the OpenAccess login details
  • The system uses the volume specified in the OpenLynx method (*.olp), not that in the login details, for all injections when multiple samples or injections are specified
  • The system uses the volume specified in the OpenLynx method, not that in the login details, for all injections when multiple low-volume injections are specified instead of one high-volume injection
  • The system uses the volume specified in the Prep method (*.olp) for all injections when using multiple injections

ENVIRONMENT

  • Autopurification system
  • Prep System
  • MassLynx SCN 947 with and without SCN 961
  • ACQUITY QDa
  • OpenLynx / OALogin
  • Multiple injection volumes

CAUSE

Bug in the software - PFD 18838,  CRI-2786

FIX or WORKAROUND

Fixed in SCN 987 and reassessed in SCN 1046 (due for release Q2 2024)

Workaround: Log in samples individually.
If multiple samples must be injected from the same vial, make the vial location a non-mandatory entry in the OpenLynx method. After logging in the first injection, use the same vial location for subsequent injections.
