The changes to Java licensing described on Oracle's web site do not apply to us as we include old versions of Java
Java is really only used by the molecular structure display component of Metabolynx (molecule viewer.exe) and it only works reliably with the old version of Java (1.5.0_17) installed as a prerequisite by MassLynx installer. According to this Oracle FAQs website https://www.oracle.com/uk/java/techn.../jdk-faqs.html the updated licenses only apply to Java 8 and Java 9, neither of which can be used by the Waters molecule viewer.exe.
