No concentrations reported for some of the compounds in the Targetlynx results - WKB12375

SYMPTOMS

• No concentration reported from some compounds in the Targetlynx summary table.
• Method uses Absolute Response
• Found: Response column is summary is populated
• Found: Primary Detection Flag is bbI for compounds with no concentration reported.

ENVIRONMENT

• Masslynx 4.1
• Targetlynx 4.1

CAUSE

The compound is flagged as indeterminate because the response is a smaller value than the intercept of the calibration curve.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. There are two possible resolutions.
   1. Prepare a new calibration curve where the resulting intercept from the regression will be a smaller value.
   2. Change the Calibration Origin setting in Calibration Properties of the Targetlynx method to Forced setting the intercept to a value of zero.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note that in MassLynx 4.2, forcing the curve through the origin will not help.
