SYMPTOMS

• Random loss of signal in MS data shows as flat patches in an MS or MRM chromatogram
• Peak retention times may be much shorter than expected; some peaks show as eluting earlier
• Sometimes runs do not proceed to the next injection/sample
• Instrument has intermittent communication problems
