Targetlynx QLD file says it is READ ONLY - WKB1112

SYMPTOMS

• QLD files tagged READ ONLY when trying to open the file, or
• Error message box on opening TargetLynx QLD file: File opened read-only as it is currently locked by [computer-name]
  File is not already loaded on this computer

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1
• TargetLynx 4.1
• QuanLynx 4.1

CAUSE

One of the following three:
QuanLynx or TargetLynx results file was saved across a network.
QuanLynx or TargetLynx results file opened when PC loses power.
QuanLynx or TargetLynx results file being generated as PC powered-off.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Follow instructions in the attached document.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

File cannot always be reset. May need to recreate QLD file by reprocessing data from the sample list.
