PROCEDURE
STEP 1
A Sample Set Method is a method that defines how you are going to run your samples and acquire the data. This method includes the order in which samples will be run, the number of injections per vial, the injection volume, the run time, and the Method Set which contains the Instrument Method. All Sample Set Methods are found on the Methods tab in the Project window (figure 1).
STEP 2
A Sample Set Method can be opened on the Methods tab or loaded into the Run Samples window. Provided that you have the Save Sample Set Methods privilege, you can modify the fields of information described in Step 1 (figure 2).
STEP 3
A Sample Set is a bound set of raw data. When you run a Sample Set Method Empower generates a Sample Set. All Sample Sets are found on the Sample Sets tab in the Project window (figure 3).
STEP 4
A Sample Set can be opened on the Sample Sets tab by right-clicking and selecting Alter Sample. Provided that you have the Alter Sample privilege, you can modify many of the sample fields.
