Empower 3.8.0: Adjusting the Intensity Label Level on the Spectrum Index and Mass Analysis Tabs - Tip348

Article number: 271905

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Adjusting the Intensity Label Level in the Spectrum Index and Mass Analysis Window

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower
  • Empower Tip of the Week #348

PROCEDURE

Adjusting the Intensity Label Level in the Spectrum Index and Mass Analysis Window can be found both in Review and Report Publisher.

Spectrum Index

STEP 1
In Review, right-click in the Spectrum Index window and select Properties. There is a field called Intensity Label Level and the default value is 25. If you lower that value, more of the masses in Spectrum Index will be annotated (Figure 1).

STEP 2
In Report Publisher, right-click in the Spectrum Index report group and select Spectrum Index Properties. There is a field called Intensity Label Level and, again, the default value is 25. Lowering the value results in more of the masses annotated (Figure 2).

Mass Analysis Window

STEP 3
In Review, open the Mass Analysis Window, right-click and select Properties. There is a new field called Intensity Label Level and the default value is 25. If you lower the value, more of the masses in the spectra plot within the Mass Analysis Window will be annotated (Figure 3).

STEP 4
In Report Publisher, right-click in the Mass Analysis Plot report group and select Mass Analysis Plot Properties. There is a field called Intensity Label Level and, again, the default value is 25. Lowering the value results in more of the masses being annotated in the spectra plot (Figure 4).
