Incorrect Width at Tangent values notably affect USP Resolution values when using automatic integration in Empower - WKB93215

Article number: 93215

SYMPTOMS

  • The USP Resolution value reported is notably different when using automatic ApexTrack integration compared with the USP Resolution value reported using manual integration to mimic ApexTrack

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3 FR4

CAUSE

This issue is documented as CRI-1075, which is a variant of PCS#54966.

The Width at Tangent may be so large that the inflection points are incorrectly calculated due to the Peak Width setting in the processing method at the time of the peak. The Width at Tangent is calculated as the difference between the times where the two tangent lines intersect the baseline. In some cases, Empower may use incorrect inflection points based on Peak Width settings.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Changes to integration parameters are required. The necessary changes vary depending on the acquired data.
