In the Preview window for the Results of Empower 3, the Resolution field, Tailing field and the Plate Count field are blank. - WKB93180

SYMPTOMS

• When previewing the processing result, the Retention Time and Area value are shown, but the Resolution field and the Plate Count field are blank.
• It is still blank when confirming on the Review window for the Results
• System suitability option installed
• System suitability is checked in Project Properties > Enabled Options

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

The system suitability is not enabled in the processing method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Review the results.
2. Click Window > Processing Method.
3. Click the Suitability tab.
4. Select the check box of "Calculate Suitability Results". If necessary, also select the check box of "Calculate Suitability Results for Unknown Peaks".
5. Enter the Void Volume Time. The Void Volume Time value is used to calculate capacity factor and selectivity.
6. Save the processing method from the File menu.
7. Process the data from the Sample Set (or Injection, Channel) using the saved processing method.
