Cannot export data in Empower using the export function from Result Set - WKB9202

SYMPTOMS

  • In Empower Result Set, when highlighting, right-clicking, and clicking Export, data does not export

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 2
  • Empower 3
  • Citrix 

CAUSE

Unknown 

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Highlight results, click on Database > Export data.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • When you right-click and click Export, it is run as the non-interactive user. In the case of Citrix, it runs on the Citrix server. A path like C:\exports running from a FAT client may work, because the local machine can access the path. But on a Citrix server it does not.
  • The Database > Export works because it takes the authority of the logged-in OS user.
