SYMPTOMS

• Report Publisher error when saving a report to PDF in Citrix
• Error: An Error making the file file:V:\Folder\Result1000.pdf. Please see the message center for additional details on the error.      
• There is no additional information in the message center
• PDF is usually created, or it has not been shown that the file is not created
• Overwriting a previously created PDF does not give the error

CAUSE

Cause of the error is unknown and the PDF is usually created.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Despite the error message, the PDF is created.
2. Check the destination folder for presence of the PDF.
3. Copy a known, working PDF to the destination folder.
4. Rename the PDF file Printed.PDF.
5. When saving the PDF, from Report Publisher select the Printed.PDF.
6. Click Yes when prompted to overwrite.
7. Open the Printed.PDF from the destination folder.
8. Save As and name the PDF with the desired name in the desired location.
