Sample set method properties show the wrong user for changes to the method - WKB91791

SYMPTOMS

• User 1 opens a sample set method in the sample set method editor from the project window
• User 2 then opens Alter Sample for a sample set that used the same version of the method opened by User 1
• User 1 closes the sample set method editor without saving any changes to the method
• User 2 saves changes in Alter Sample that modify the sample set method
• The project Audit Trail shows the correct User 2 for the sample set method version that was saved
• Selecting Method Properties for the sample set method and then selecting the row for the version saved and clicking the Audit Trail button shows User 1
• Opening the Result Audit Viewer with the result set that used the saved version of the sample set method shows a line in the Result History for User 1, where the Action value is N/A and the Source is Sample Set Method Properties

CAUSE

Empower is showing the original Edit user in the Sample Set Method Properties when looking at the Audit Trail, not the user who actually saved the method. This is a defect.

This only happens when the "current" version of the sample set method in the project window is the same version as the most recent version associated with the sample set brought into Alter Sample.

FIX or WORKAROUND

If a user just wants to look at a sample set method, they can print it from the project window or bring it into the report publisher and look at it using the sample set method report group.

Issue Resolved in Empower 3.6.1
